Margaret Little Potter, age 83, of Delaware, died Thursday evening at her residence. Born in Abiline, Kan., November 11, 1911 to Harry and Dolly Carter Little. The family of 4 sons and 1 daughter moved to Russell, Dan. In 1917 where Margaret attended first grade in the Russell Public School. She graduated from Russell High School in 1928 where she participated in the high school chorus and the drill team. She entered Denison University in Granville, Oh. In the fall of 1928. She became a member of Alpha Phi Sorority, was soprano solist in the Denison Glee Club, and was initiated into Phi Beta Kappa her junior year. She graduated in June, 1932. On June 14, 1932 she married Joe C. Potter and they made their home in Worthington, Oh. Until 1963 when the family moved to Delaware County. While in Worthington, she belonged to The Worthington United Methodist Church, Worthington Women's Club, Worthington Music Club and the Worthington Players Club. She sang in the Methodist Church choir from 1932 until 1963. In Delaware, she was a member of the William Street United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. She was also a member of D.A.R., P.E.O., The Big Run Farm Bureau Council, the Delaware Music Club. She is survived by her husband, Joe C. Potter; daughters, Judy Potter of Worthington and Martha Potter Otto of Westerville; sons, F. Steven Potter of Worthington and John C. Potter of Delaware; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces; 2 nephews. A private funeral service will be conducted by the Bennett-Brown Funeral Home, Delaware, with graveside services. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
