Shirley Lucille (Coker) Troutner of Columbus, OH was welcomed into her Lord's presence on March 15, 2022. Born September 22, 1937, in East Sparta, Ohio she was preceded in death by her parents Loy and Fannie Coker, her brother Harry Coker, and most recently by her lifelong best friend and sister, Donna Whitacre. Missing her, but rejoicing in her full healing is her former spouse, Howard Troutner, and sons, David (Kimberly) Troutner, Doug (Kim) Troutner, and Dan (Jenny) Troutner. She is also lovingly remembered as the great storytelling Grandma by her ten Troutner grandchildren, Kyle, Jason, Timothy, Peter (Emily), Kaitlin (Grant) Dierksheide, Rebecca, Stephen, Nathaniel, Jonathan, and Andrew. Other beloved family members include her nephew Scott (Sandra) Bankert and niece Darcy (Joe) Phillips. Shirley graduated from Sandy Valley High School in 1955 and from Aultman Hospital College of Nursing. She worked at several central Ohio hospitals during her career, and her care for people continued long after her working years. She raised her children in Worthington and was a member of Grace Polaris Church. Her passions included gardening and reading all kinds of books. Visitation will be held at the Grace Polaris Church Ministry Center in Westerville, Ohio from 6-7:30pm on Sunday, March 20. The funeral service will be at the church on Monday, March 21 at 10am with interment to follow at Flint Cemetery.
