James J. Sheridan died July 1, 2017 at the age of 85 at The Ohio State University Hospital. Jim Sheridan was born July 13, 1931 in Columbus, the son of James Joseph Sheridan Sr. and Catherine (Bonner) Sheridan. Jim was a longtime resident of Worthington, where he and his wife Donna Sheridan raised their two daughters Jeanne and Tracy. Jim grew up attending St. Mary’s Catholic School and St. Thomas Aquinas High School where he graduated in 1949. He also attended classes at The Ohio State University. Jim worked at Lazarus, the Ohio National Bank, the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, and the Office of Thrift Supervision, and was a director at the Guernsey Bank.
He met his wife Donna while working for the Ohio National Bank where she was a teller, and they married in 1953. They enjoyed spending time with their family, working on home improvement projects and are responsible for no less than four back porches in Worthington Estates. Jim was an avid woodworker, and reader. He was a veteran of the Korean War in the Tennessee Volunteers. This loving husband, father, and grandfather will be deeply missed by his wife Donna; children Jeanne and David Dumond and Tracy and Chris Strombotne; and grandchildren James Dumond, Daniel Dumond and James Leach, Anne and Derek Warnick, and Julia and David Skul.
