Joseph Collins Potter, age 97, of Delaware, died January 25, 2006 at Friendship Village of Columbus. He was born September 11, 1908 in Columbus to Howard Potter and Minnie (nee Collins) Potter. He was a graduate of Worthington High School, The Ohio State University and was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. A retired home builder and farmer, he was a 50+ year resident of Worthington and 40+ year resident of Delaware County. He was a member of the William Street United Methodist Church, Delaware, where he chaired the building committee for many years and a member of The Berlin Township Farm Bureau Council. He is survived by a son, F. Steven (Barbara) Potter; 2 daughters, Judith (Richard) Hunter and Martha (Frank) Otto; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Betsy Potter. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret "Peg", son John, sisters Ruth and Ellen Potter. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 25 from 2-4 p.m. at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, Bennett Brown Chapel, 92 N. Sandusky St., Delaware. Private burial will be in Flint Cemetery.
