Tom McGrath, age 83, passed Friday, May 27 at home in the arms of his wife. He was born April 19, 1933 to Charles and Anna McGrath in Philadelphia, Pa. In addition to parents, Tom was preceded by four older siblings and the passing of their oldest son, Thomas Jr. in 2008 of a heart attack. Survived by loving wife, Betty and two wonderful children, Melissa (Phil) Miller and Michael McGrath; and three grandchildren, Brad, Garrett and Brook Miller who called him PopPop. Tom and Betty enjoyed boating, fishing and entertaining family and friends at their home on Indian Lake for more than 29 years. And shared decades with their various Dobermans over the years. Tom served two years in the Army and later graduated from LaSalle University in Philadelphia. Tom spent his entire career in the printing industry and retired as a VP from Vertis Advertising (formerly Treasure Chest). Tom and Betty were members of the Upper Arlington Senior Center where they made many wonderful friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm Friday, June 3rd from at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St, Worthington, OH. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, June 4, at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 6899 Smoky Row Rd, Columbus, OH. Burial will follow at Flint Cemetery. In lieu of flowers for those who wish, please contribute to HomeReach Hospice, 800 McConnell Drive, Columbus, OH 43214, or a charity of your choosing in Tom's memory.
