GRIFFIN Jane Evelyn Griffin, 54, of Worthington, entered into the arms of the Lord on Friday, December 23, 2011, at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio, after a valiant battle with cancer. Jane was born on December 31, 1956, in Cadiz, Kentucky, to Thomas Alton and Naomi Ruth Frei Terry. Jane was married to Larry Griffin on June 21, 1986, in Covington, Kentucky. Jane is survived by her husband, Larry Griffin, 51; and children, Calvin Thomas Griffin, 22, and Emma Leigh Griffin, 16; her mother, Naomi Terry; sisters, Angela Terry Quanci (Martin) and Dr. Rebecca Terry; mother-in-law, Emma Mae Griffin; nieces, Nora Inman and Sarah Quanci; nephews, Sam Inman and Thomas Quanci. Jane was preceded in death by her father Thomas Alton Terry. She attained both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music Education from Eastern Kentucky University. Jane was the director of vocal music at Worthingway Middle School, as well as the director of Capriccio Youth Choir, and Director of Music at Mountview Baptist Church in Upper Arlington, Ohio. She was a member of the Ohio Music Educators Association, Ohio Choral Directors Association, and Delta Omicron Music Fraternity. Jane's hobbies included anything involving family, Bible study, girls weekends with her sisters and friends, and singing with Capriccio Vocal Ensemble. She enjoyed spending summers at the Chautauqua Institute in New York. A celebration of Jane's life will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Worthington Kilbourne High School, officiated by Pastor Kevin R. Schneider, of Mountview Baptist Church and Reverend Stephen M. Norden, of New Hope Church. Diana McCullough will speak on behalf of the family.
