Survived by his children and their spouses: Ti & Barbara Piper (Albuquerque), June-el Piper (Albuquerque), Jonathan & Oliva Piper Riley (Columbus), Laura Piper Taylor (Cleveland); his grandchildren and their spouses: James & Morgen Piper Sajor (Los Angeles), Amanda Taylor (Houston), Wilson Taylor & Megan Wood (Cleveland), Andy & Megan Riley Hunter (Columbus), David Riley (Columbus); as well as three great grand-daughters; siblings: Burl and Pam Gearhart Tabak Jernigan; nieces: Sara Tabak, Susan Tabak Malysa; great nephew and niece Logan & Addison Malysa; and special friends who enriched his life over the past several years: Joann & Bryon, Stephanie, Gina, and Bianca.
Preceded in death by his parents: Dorothy & Norman Gearhart; son-in-law: Ryburn Taylor; and the love of his life: Carolyn Marie Loewer Piper with whom he shared 26+ years as Friend, Confidante, Lover, and Spouse.
A time to share “Norm stories” will occur from 2:00 – 4:00pm on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home located at 515 High Street in Worthington. Private interment at the Flint Cemetery in Worthington, Ohio, with the Reverend Alissia Thompson officiating.
