Charles Robert “Bob” Dunlap, age 75 of Columbus, died Monday April 25, 2016 at Riverside Hospital. Bob was born on September 1, 1940 in Columbus to the late Charles and Dora Margie (Sutherland) Dunlap. A member of the Cols North HS class of ’59, he served his country serving in the US Air Force in Korea and in the Air National Guard. He was a meat department Manager with Big Bear Stores and owned his own Deli. Bob was a life-long member of the Bethel International United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir; he was a student of aviation, loved being with his family and the great outdoors, he would stop what he was doing to help others. Bob is preceded in death by his sister Dona Huffman. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Sandra (Trott), sons Kevin (Anne) Dunlap and Michael (Stephanie) Dunlap, grandchildren Emilie, Makenna, Whitney, Riley, and Adrien, his sister Norma Tinch, special friends Frank Zollinger and Kevin Ying, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday April 28 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St Worthington and one hour prior to the funeral. A Funeral Service will be held at the Bethel International United Methodist Church on Friday April 29, 2016 at 11:00 am with Pastor Michael Pratt officiating. Burial will be in Flint Cemetery. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Pastor Michael Pratt for his loving support. Friends may donate in Bob’s memory to the Bell Tower Restoration Project at Bethel Church.
