BRYANT Frank P. Bryant, age 77, of Brandon, Fla., passed away on July 9, 2001, after a courageous fight with cancer. Preceded in death by parents Sarah and Thomas, brothers Pem and Thomas and sisters Elsie, Antry and Sue. Frank was dearly loved and survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Mary; children, Phyllis (Gordie) Carlson, John (Joyce) Bryant, Brenda (Pete) Hammond, Meril (Perry) Cooper and Tom Bryant; grandchildren, Gabriel Carlson, Amy (Eric) Calbow, Lesa (Jeff) Ryan, Jennifer (Keith) Turner, Joe Hammond, Holly Hammond, Michael Cooper, Kerra, Colleen and Meghan Bryant; great-grandchildren, Dylan Calbow, Heather and Hayley Jennings and Trevor Turner; sisters, Ollie Hensley and Nell Lindsey; brother, Earl. Frank was retired from the City of Columbus, Division of Electricity. Served during WW II as a member of Merrill's Marauders and China India Burma Camp. His decorations included Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge, American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon and WW II Victory Ribbon. He was an avid fisherman and boat enthusiast. Funeral service 10 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2001 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, Oh. Rev. William Cannode officiating. Family will receive friends Sunday, July 15 from 4-6 p.m. Interment following service at Flint Cemetery.
