BELLAND Elizabeth Ann Belland, age 63, of Worthington, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, April 22, 2003. Survived by husband of 35 years, Dr. John Belland; daughter, Charlotte Belland of Columbus; son, Brian Belland of W. Lafayette, IN; brother, Glenn Miller of Powder Springs, GA; sister-in-law, Mary (Charles) Seidenfuss of Elmhurst, IL. Mrs. Belland taught at the secondary level in the Chicago, IL, Syracuse, NY and Chapel Hill, NC areas. Upon moving to Columbus she did research at the National Center of Research for Vocational Education, taught secretarial science at Columbus State and taught women in Columbus educational programs for success at the corporate level through the Upper Arlington Adult Education Program. Later she set aside her professional aspirations devoting herself to her family. Her community involvement included volunteering at the James Cancer Hospital and for the Worthington School District. She was well loved by her family as well as by friends, both life-long and more recent acquaintances. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2003 at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, 2300 Lytham Road, Upper Arlington. Interment to follow at Flint Cemetery, Worthington. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High Street (* mile South of I-270.)
