This advertisement appeared in Health magazine in 1947. James L. Hagle, who became business manager for the company in 1941 sought to expand the Worthington Foods market through advertisements in health food magazines such as Health and Health and Life, in addition to direct mail. This advertisement included an offer for a menu and recipe booklet, featuring actress to be, Jean Peters on the cover. After winning a Miss Ohio State University popularity contest, Peters began a career in movies and eventually married Howard Hughes in 1957 under the alias Marian Evans.
