A view of the west side of High Street, with the Worthington Hardware Building in the forefront. Retail merchants have been a fixture at this location for many years. The building itself is composed of several parts. The current building was erected in 1890 as a general store. The second floor has a meeting room. The building was expanded in the 1930's. Other tenants in past included Kroger and A & P grocery stores. They later moved to other locations in the city when the hardware store expanded in the early 1950's.
