Robert (Bob) McCormick (b. 1921, d. 2002) is seen here greeting guests visiting the Worthington Historical Society's Orange Johnson House for a Christmas open house in 1989. McCormick, along with his wife Virginia (Jennie) authored many books and articles about Worthington history that were widely admired for their accuracy and completeness. Individually and with Jennie, Bob wrote half a dozen books about the community's past, including "New Englanders on the Ohio Frontier: Migration and Settlement of Worthington Ohio," "Probing Worthington's History," "Worthington Landmarks: Photo essays of Historic Worthington Properties" and "Around Worthington".
