This photograph, taken sometime in September 2022 and shared on the City of Worthington's Facebook page on September 16, 2022, shows buildings under construction at the Worthington Gateway commercial redevelopment. Located on the southwest side of the intersection of North High Street and West Wilson Bridge Road, this was previously the site of a Holiday Inn hotel. The hotel had occupied that space for decades and was demolished in late 2018 to make way for the mixed-use commercial redevelopment, at that time called The Village at Worthington Square. Construction was originally planned to begin in April 2020 but delayed until May 2021. The first businesses ready (Club Pilates and Orange Theory, which would occupy the building shown in this photo) opened their doors in early 2023.
