This is a photograph of Ruth Rowland, (b. 5/3/1894, d. 8/2/1931). Ruth was the daughter of Alice Crawford Rowland Pinney & Edward Roland. Alice Crawford married Nathan Lathen Pinney, Sr, step-father to Ruth, in 1898 when Ruth was four years old. According to her obituary, which appeared in the August 6th, 1931 Worthington News, she lived in Worthington 23 years and worked at the telephone exchange and Worthington Post Office before working thirteen years at F. & R. Lazarus Co. in Columbus. She died at age 37 after a week's illness with uremia and is buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
