Members of the Color Guard for Leasure-Blackston American Legion Post 239 of Worthington are pictured here preparing to raise the American Flag at Worthington's Bicentennial Homecoming Celebration. The American Legion Color Guard was one of the entries in the Bicentennial Homecoming Parade on July 5, presenting the National Colors to honor the United Sates of America. The two day event was one of the City's Bicentennial signature events, with festivities taking place on the grounds of Thomas Worthington High School July 4-5, 2003.
