Former Mayor George Wing, a representative from Battelle and Hugh Flaherty are pictured with a time capsule from the Griswold Center. The time capsule was placed behind the plaque on the wall (shown to the left of George Wing), which states "Behind this plaque is a time capsule in which the people of Worthington have placed mementoes to be removed forty years from this date. We hope our time capsule gives you, the future, insights into our life and times." The time capsule contains news clippings from 1994, a list of senior volunteers, pictures and slides. It will be opened in 2034.
