The Worthington High School varsity basketball team for the 1945-1946 school year is pictured; (back row l to r) Coach Heischman, Eddie Snouffer, Bill Lindimore, Jim Sheaf, Gene Arthur, and Fred Weaver; (front row l to r) Earl Nash, Joe Neds, Tom Hartman, Bill Hamilton, Ken Kayner, and Bill Wardwell. The starting five were Nash, Neds, Hartman, Hamilton, and Kayner. At the time, the 1946 season was noted as the Cardinal's most successful in the school's history. Worthington was the Class B state runner up.
