REYNOLDS Elizabeth C. Reynolds, age 93, of Upper Arlington, died Thursday, July 24, 2003 at Whetstone Care Center. She was born August 20, 1909 in Columbus, Ohio the daughter of George and Marie Collins. She graduated from Cleveland City Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1944, and later served as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps. She acted as the Vice Principal at Etna Road School in Whitehall and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Education with honors from Capital University in 1958. She then served as one of the nursing instructors at Columbus School of Practical Nursing from 1959-1973. She was a longtime member of Northwest United Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star, and was active with the American Legion. She also owned and operated the family farm in Peebles, Ohio for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Edward Pagels, Richard E. Reynolds, and Frank P. Gallo, and by her brother Walter Collins. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Lucinda A. Reynolds of Columbus, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Robert I. Brice of Lavallette, NJ; grandchildren, Liza (Frank) Abate and Marilyn Manfrini; four great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. The family will receive friends 2-5 p.m. Sunday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus. Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2003 at Northwest United Methodist Church, 5200 Riverside Drive, with Rev. Debbie Holder and Rev. Harold Davidson officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. If desired, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in her memory.
