J. Edmund O'Brien, age 82, passed away on May 22, 1998, Kobacker House. He was Chairman Emertius of Banner Die, Tool and Stamping Company. Member of Rotary of Columbus for over 25 years. Avid golf fan and played in five Pro-Ams for Childrens Hospital from 1969-1974. Retired in 1981 and wintered in Naples, Fla. Member of Lakewood Country Club of Naples, Fla. Survived by his life partner of56 years, Zita (Weaver) O'Brien; brother Phil O'Brien, wife Mary Ellen; sister Dorothy (O'Brien) Nudd; his daughtyer, Sharon (O'Brien) Stansifer, husband, Rickeyt; his son, John E. O'Brien II and wife, Pamela; his grandson , Michael Thornborough, wife, Bobbie; sister-in-law, Rheta (Weaver) Perry, husband, George; sister-in-law, Libby O'Brien. The family will receive friends at Weir-Arend Funeral Home 4221 N. High St., Columbus, Oh. on Wednesday, May 27, 1998 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Private graveside service at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Rev.
