Michael Edmond Davies, car enthusiast, scooter guy, motorhead, bicycle boy, North High Polar Bear, proud homeowner in Northwood Park Historic Neighborhood University District and Renaissance man, took off his earth suit May 3, 2007. Mike was the best partner, friend, husband, lover and knight in shining armor to Xenia Palus, his devoted wife and soul mate of 14 years. Mike and Xenia adored and treasured each other. Their relationship is special and everlasting. Mike's honesty, kindness, unique sense of humor, caring spirit, insightfulness and compassion are special treasures he shared with many. Mike spent more than 25 years in the car industry-VW's and Alfas were his favorites, Mike joins his parents Norman and Maxine and leaves his children, Joanne and John Agnelli. Stephen and Elena Davies, Allison Davies; his step-children, Harris and Adam Johnson; his sister and her family, Denise and Jay Jones, Jennifer and Jason Luciow, Jeffrey and Christy Jones, Jonathan Jones; his brothers and their family, Jon and Jodee Davies, Flynt, Blake, Kai and Jared and Kim Davies; in-laws, Edward and Sonja Palus; many cousins and friends. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Rutherford Funeral Home, 2383 N. High Street, Columbus. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2007, at Immaculate Conception Church, 414 E.N. Broadway with a Reception to follow. Special thanks to the spectacular staff at Riverside Hospital in the emergency room, the pulmonary specialists, VTS Ward nurses and technicians and those in the ICU who attended to Mike's needs. A heartfelt appreciation to Deb Lindsay and Dr. Richard Wing for meeting with Mike and praying for his peace. In lieu of flowers, please send your contributions in Mike's name to First Community Church and to Hair Theater Fund at the Columbus Foundation.
