NELSON Helen Eileen Nelson, age 81, of Columbus, passed Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Mayfair Village Care Center. A graduate of Worthington High School, Class of 1944. She is preceded in death by her sisters June Ferguson and Catherine White. Helen is survived by her children, Connie (Rick) Strait of Singapore, Brad (Gretchen) Nelson of Mesa, AZ and Candy Nelson of Columbus; grandchildren, Megan (Benjamin) Parks and David (Kelli) Strait both of Houston, TX; great grandson, Nicholas Howard Strait of Houston; sister, Evelyn E. Williams of Louisville, KY; and many nieces and nephews. A long-time Worthington resident, Helen worked at Nicklaus Pharmacy for many years. She will be remembered as an enthusiastic sports fan and beloved mother and grandmother. Family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, OH 43085 (614) 885-4006, where a Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008. Private family burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington.
