PAPPAS Gus C. Pappas, D.D.S, age 85, of Worthington, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2003 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was an U.S. Army veteran, having served during WWII. In addition to having had his own practice, Gus was a professor at the O.S.U College of Dentistry for 25 years. He was a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Dental Radiology, and served tours on the hospital ship HOPE. Gus was also a member of the International Wood Collector's Society. He was preceded in death by his parents Chris and Helen Pappas, sisters Ann and Christine, and brothers Paul and George Pappas. Gus is survived by his wife of 63 years, Wilda Pappas; sons, Paul Pappas, John (Becky) Pappas and Tom Pappas; daughters, Margaret Anderson and Elizabeth Pappas; sisters, Bess (Ben) Gianulis and Irene (Gus) Karozos; brother, Mike (Alberta) Pappas; fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Friends may call Monday, January 13, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., and from 9:30-11 a.m. on Tuesday at Grace Brethren Church, 8225 Worthington-Galena Rd., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Pastor Jim Custer officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery.
