Herman Max England, 79, of Laurelville, Oh., died December 21, 1999 at this residence. He was born November 12, 1920 in Hamden, Oh. He was a WW II Navy veteran; member of Good Shepherd Community Church; attended Laurelville Church of God; and was a member of Operator Engineers Local 18. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Dennis. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (McNaughton) England; sons, Leland of Las Vegas, Gary (Theresa) of Columbus, Daniel of San Diego, Ca., Larry of Mt Vernon, Oh., Timothy of Utica, Thomas (Pam) of Apple Valley, Oh., and Gregory (Jan) of Columbus, Oh.; daughters, Kathleen (Phil) Weber, Ruth Scals, Peggy LeCompte and Elizabeth (Todd) Mueller, all of Columbus; 25 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, John Sulser of Columbus; sisters Leona (Guy) Lawson of Columbus, Esther (Bobby) Sargent of Powell, Mary Redd of Columbus, and Rose Hickey of Blacklick. Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Good Shepherd Community Church 210 Obetz Rd., Columbus, Oh. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, Oh. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Community Church or Laurelville Church of God.
