William O. Schurtz Sr., age 74, of Columbus. Thursday, July 25, 1991, at home. Preceded in death by wife Ruth. Survived by children, William O. Jr., and John Schurtz and Bonnie Laudermilk; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Francis, Paul and Joseph; sister, Margaret Stainer. Veteran of WWII. Member of American Legion Post No. 888, International Union of Operating Engineers. Private graveside service will be held. Friends may call 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington. Burial Walnut Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Columbus Cancer Clinic or Hospice at Riverside.
