DAVIS (Hyatt) Jane Ann (Hyatt) Davis, 80, a "Snowbird" who divided her time between Worthington, OH and Nokomis, FL, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2007, after a short illness. Preceded in death by her husband of 33 years Frank Eugene Davis, parents Frank Byron and Ola Faye Hyatt, daughter Jill Sabine. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Howard E. and Marianne E. Davis of Westerville; cousin, Jackie Smith of Worthington. Jane was born in Huntington, WV. Graduated in 1944 from North High School and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The Ohio State University. She worked as a fashion illustrator for local retail stores and in the 1970's established her own business, J. D. Art & Design, and also became Art Director of Hub Rail magazine. Following her husband's death in 1979, Jane began watercolor painting, which she practiced until shortly before her death. She exhibited her works in shows in Ohio and Florida and won several awards. She was a member of The Worthington Art League, The Critical Eye, The Ohio Plein Air Society, The Venice Art Center, The Venice Art Association, Art Center Sarasota, The Sarasota Art Association and other groups. She taught watercolor painting in Sarasota and at the Community Center in Worthington. An avid reader, Jane also wrote three books. Memorial Service 12:30 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2007, at St. John's Episcopal Church, 700 North High Street, Worthington, where Jane was a long-time member. Inurnment Walnut Grove Cemetery in Worthington.
