MYERS Ferne A. Myers, age 88, of Columbus, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012. Well known Central Ohio musician and teacher accomplished in piano, organ and harp. She served the First Church of the Nazarene and Lane Avenue Baptist Church for many years. Ferne had a tremendous passion for her music and for helping others enjoy the beauty of it. Preceded in death by husband Lowell W. Myers, daughter Joyce Lynn Froning, parents Cloyd and Marie Cook, brothers Ralph and Ned Cook. Survived by sons, Steven C. (Jan) Myers and Ronald S. (Sheri) Myers; grandchildren, Ronald W. Myers, Michelle Lynn Carter and Erin Michael Poe; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanita Grossman, Naomi Cummings, Martha George, and Mollie Poole; other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 1 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2012 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, OH 43085. Dr. Wayne Nicholson officiating.
