Survived by son, Eric Halby Cookston, of San Diego, Calif.; daughter, Juli Caren Brewster, of Tempe, Ariz.; grandson, Michael Christopher and Jayson David Brewster; half-sisters, LaVerne Long, of Mt. Gilead, Ohio and LaVonne Paulus, of Marion, Ohio. Member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Worthington, where funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, April 7, with the Rev. Don Peterson officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
