SOMERS (NELSON) Millie Somers, of Worthington, died peacefully at Wesley Glen on Tuesday, September 18, 2012. Preceded in death by first husband Dow Nelson, second husband Paul Somers, son-in-law William Mrukowski, step-son Paul Somers, Jr. Survived by devoted daughter, Linda Nelson Mrukowski; sister, Dorothy Minister; nephews, Michael and Mark Minister; grandsons, Bill (Tina) Mrukowski and Jay (Ellen) Mrukowski; step-daughter-in-law, Maribeth Somers; step-grandchildren, Sarah and Keith Somers; great-grandchildren, Marissa, Meredith, Claire, and Troy Mrukowski, Billy and Katie Somers. Millie was the daughter of the late Ray and Marie Michael of The Plains, OH. Graduate of Ohio University. Taught elementary school for many years in the Gahanna School District. Millie was a former volunteer at the Worthington Cancer Thrift Shop and a long time member and former secretary of the Worthington United Methodist Church. Memorial Service 1:30 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2012, at the Wesley Glen Auditorium (8th floor) at 5515 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43214, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Dr. Joel Baer officiating. A private family burial will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Millie's memory to the Worthington UMC, 600 High St., Worthington, OH 43085.
