The Sisterhood formed early in the history of Congregation Beth Tikvah. It elected officers, and undertook a wide range of activities. In the first year, it arranged a Purim party and the community seder. It also founded a gift shop, stocking items of Jewish interest and of Israeli provenance. The Sisterhood undertook the hosting of Oneg Shabbats and a variety of fundraising projects for the congregation.
