CHILCOAT Mildred B. Chilcoat, 87, of Worthington, our gentle crusader for Christ went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 20, 2006. "Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O Death, is your victory? Where, O Death, is your sting? The sting of Death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" 1 Corinthians 15:54-57. She was a member of Faith Covenant Church and it's choir. She was a talented portrait artist, a faithful woman of prayer and a lover of people. Preceded in death by husband of 57 years Jesse G. Chilcoat. She will be missed by her sons, Ed (Barbie) of Worthington, Bob (Susie) of Bridgewater, N.J. and Dave (Beth) of Worthington; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Era Jean (Melvin) Crozier of Lubbock, Tex. and Julia (Silas) Alexander of San Antonio, Tex.; brother, Harris Bates of Leon Valley, Tex.; and many relatives and beloved friends from Faith Covenant Church and of Trillium Place. Friends may call 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington. A private burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Faith Covenant Church, 3607 Dempsey Rd., Westerville, Oh. 43081. The Rev. Timothy Heintzelman officiating.
