Jane H. Zimmerman, age 99, nee Jane Eleanor Hartman, born in Ottawa, Kansas on May 20, 1918, passed away in her sleep on March 26, 2018 in her home at Friendship Village of Dublin. She had resided in Friendship Village of Dublin for over 20 years following longtime former residency in Worthington, Ohio and Naples, Florida. Jane and her husband of 53 years, Robert O. Zimmerman who preceded her in death in 1993 were among the founders of the German Village Society in Columbus, Ohio. Jane continued her membership until her death. She was a longtime member of the Worthington Ohio Historical Society. As a champion of both the performing and fine Arts, Jane supported the Columbus Museum of Art, BalletMet, Jazz Arts Group, and Ohio Craft Museum. She was instrumental in the preservation and restoration of the Ohio Theatre, the Southern Theatre, and the Lincoln Theatre in Columbus. She was member and supporter of Artis-Naples as well. Jane is survived by 2 children, Lisa (Gerald "Jerry" Dye) Gleason Dye of Blue Ash, Ohio and Dru R. Zimmerman of Columbus, Ohio; 3 grandchildren, Gregory Edward Gleason, William Robert "Rob" Gleason, and Lisa Beth Gleason Thomas; 3 great-grandchildren, Cody Robert Gleason, Niah Jade Gleason, and William Ashton Hunter.
