Barbara Jean Turner, 69, was born on September 26, 1948 and passed away on April 17, 2018 after an almost 50 year valiant battle against multiple sclerosis. She is preceded in death by her father, William G. and her brother, William G. Jr., MD. Surviving Barbara are her mother, Eleanor; her sister, Nancy (Caldwell) Davis (Steve); her sister-in-law, Marilynn Turner; her nephew, Michael Caldwell; her nieces, Julie Hunter (Jason) and Molly Turner (Doug Mellor); and her great-nieces, Katelyn and Erin Hunter. Barbara will be SO missed by her three lifelong friends from Worthington, Susan Shaffer Smith, Cathy Belan Lawrence, and Barbara Wolfe Puscus who over the years came to visit her regularly and brought her a joyous respite from her condition. She also will be missed by one of her nurses and very special friend, Beth Lee, who cared for her and was by her side until the very end of her journey. Barbara attended Worthington High School, and graduated from The Ohio State University. She worked for the Department of Development for the State of Ohio. Despite her medical situation, Barbara remained positive and NEVER gave up hope! Family will receive friends on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 4-7 pm at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, OH 43085. Private inurnment at a future date.
