THOMAS Virginia Ruth Thomas, age 95, (resident of Mayfair Village), Wednesday, February 26, 2003 peacefully of natural causes. Born April 13, 1907, Virginia was a graduate of Maryville College in Tenn. and spent the majority of her life residing in Worthington. Her true passion was playing the harp, which she did professionally; performing with Spike Jones at the Palace Theater. She was a member of Worthington Presbyterian Church and a 50 year member of O.E.S., Lorraine Chapter, member of Thea Court, and an active participant of the Ladies Oriental Shrine. A wonderful and lively woman, she loved her flowers, her family and her many, many friends. Virginia is preceded in death by her loving husband Harley W. "Tommy" Thomas, two brothers and a son-in-law Lee J.Travers. She is survived by her daughter, Ginny Travers of Columbus, and son, Harley G. (Freda) Thomas of Columbus; grandchildren, Christy (Paul) Liimatta, Cathy (Richard) Archer, Craig Travers, Sue Thomas, John (Connie) Thomas, Kim Thomas and Tammy (Scott) Palmer; and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service 3 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2003 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High Street, Worthington, Oh. Rev. Patricia Stout Plymale officiating. Family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. service time. O.E.S. Service 2:30 p.m. Burial 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2003, Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington.
