THOMAS Maurice V. Thomas, age 86, of Columbus, Oh., passed away at home on Sunday, May 4, 2003. Born in Delaware, Oh. on July 25, 1916, he resided in Oh. for his entire life, the last 53 years in Columbus. He leaves behind Clarice, his loving and devoted wife of 58 years. He is also survived by their 2 sons, Jerry (Deloris) and Tom (Valarie); grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jennifer; brother, Raymond. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Lura (Cook) Thomas and brother Clyde. Maurice was involved in many businesses and he owned and operated service stations and a mobile home park. He was always an expert mechanic and in his retirement enjoyed restoring and showing antique automobiles. He could be counted on to lend a helping hand or a bit of helpful advice to anyone in need. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, where family will receive friends at 10 a.m. (1 hour prior to service).
