SWAIN Elizabeth M. Swain, age 95, passed away peacefully at Sarasota Florida Memorial Hospital on Sunday, May 6, 2012. She was surrounded by her loving family and by her little dog "Gracie". Elizabeth was born in Gallipolis Ohio April 14, 1917. At age 28 she moved to Worthington where she lived for over 60 years. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Charles Swain, daughter Cathy Swain Kelly, loving parents Myrtle and Charles Cox, brothers and sisters John, Raymond, Vinton, Ruth and Beaulah. Also preceded in death by loving son-in-law Herbert Thomas Jr. She was a wonderful loving mother, and grandmother. She took great pleasure in cooking wonderful Holiday Meals for the family. She truly had a "green thumb", at one time she won an award for the most beautiful lawn in Worthington. She is survived by loving daughter, Linda Thomas; grandsons, Kyle Thomas (daughter-in-law, Cyndi), Shawn Thomas (daughter-in-law, Joy), Ryan Thomas, Patrick Thomas and David Thomas (daughter-in-law, Anna). Also great-grandchildren, Joshua (his wife, Branda), Kevin, Dakota, Carson, Kohl, Jayden, Amara, and Natalie; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Elliott of Dover, OH; brother, James Cox of Pensicola, FL. Elizabeth's family would like to extend a special thank you for the wonderful care she was given by Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Sarasota Hospice and Plymouth Harbor Smith Care Center in Sarasota. She was an extraordinary lady and an inspiration to all who knew her. Family will receive friends Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St. from 2-5 p.m. Rosary Prayer service at 4:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. on Monday, May 14 at Our Lady of Peace Church, 20 East Dominion Boulevard. Father Kevin Kavanagh celebrant. Burial to follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 5561 Milton Avenue, Worthington.
