Stansifer Sharon "Sharry" Patricia Stansifer, 71, of Columbus, passed away on August 6, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family and friends. Sharry was born on August 21, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to the late J. Edmond and Zita O'Brien. Sharry was a retired school teacher for the Worthington School District. She was a graduate of The Ohio State University where she was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. Sharry was a member of the All Saints Lutheran Church and a member of the All Saints Chancel Choir. She also enjoyed gardening. Sharry is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Rickey Stansifer; son, Mike (Bobbie) Thornborough; step-son, Eric (Alison) Stansifer; step-daughter, Carla (Dan) Stansifer; grandchildren, Brandon Thornborough, Haley Thornborough, Owen Stansifer, and Brigette Brown; along with one brother, John (Pamela) O'Brien. Sharry is preceded in death by her parents and her Uncle George and Aunt Rheta Perry. Family will receive friends on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME 515 N. High Street, Worthington, OH. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the ALL SAINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 6770 N. High Street, Worthington, OH. with Pastor Jeff Wise and Pastor Bonnie Gerber officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
