SMITH Wayne E. Smith, age 95, of Columbus, Monday, June 22, 2009 at Riverside Hospital. Preceded in death by sister Wymene Valand. Survived by wife of 75 years, Mildred K. Smith; brother, Clyde F. (Therese) Smith; nephews, Steve Valand, Leif Valand, Mark Valand, Lowell Anderson; and a host of friends at The Forum at Knightsbridge and Cross Creek Campgrounds in Delaware County. Member of Worthington United Methodist Church. Retired consultant from Abbott Labs after more than 50 years of service. Graduate of The Ohio State University 1939. Member of Carriage Travel Club for many years. Member University Lodge #631 F.&A.M. Funeral Service 1 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, Oh. 43085, where friends may call 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday.
