Roland A. Smiley, age 59, of 704 New York Avenue, Sunday at home. Employed at Metal Forge Company for 37 years. Preceded in death by father, Ross H. Smiley and brothers, Edward W. Smiley. Survived by wife, Hazel A. Smiley of Columbus; son, Gary A. Smiley of Columbus; daughter, Mrs. Donald (Judy) Quincel of New Albany, Ohio; 4 grandchildren, Christopher Allen Smiley, Dawn Marie, Kelli Kyleen and Donald Andrew Quincel; mother, Mrs. Josie Smiley; 2 brothers, Robert Smiley of Columbus, Ross Smiley of Columbus; sister, Audrey Dierker of Columbus; several nieces and nephews. Member of Columbus Bolt and Forging Old Times Club. Veteran WWII. Funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday, RUTHERFORD-CORBIN CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, Ohio. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery.
