Emilie A. Scowden, age 58, of Worthington, beloved wife and wonderful mother and grandmother died Sunday, March 17, 1996 at her home. A medical assistant for Dr. Roger Park for 17 years, member of Central College Presbyterian Church, Worthington Arts Council. Resident of Worthington for over 27 years, founder and charter member for 25 years of the Worthington Songsters. Preceded in death by father Hanford Halvorson, Aug. 30, 1995. Survived by husband, James E.; daughters, Elizabeth (Darrel) baird, Jane Ellen Pensyl and Kathy (Robert) Caplan, all of Worthington; son, Jon D. (Stephanie Costas) Pensyl of Hilliard; grandchildren, Ryan, Benjamin, Molly and Emilie Baird; mother, Madelene Halvorson of Columbus; sister, Jane Dotson of Calif; nephew, Mike Dotson and niece, Judy Barnett; step son, James Neff of Atlanta, GA and host of many loving friends. Funeral service Wednesday 2 p.m. March 30, 1996 SCHOEDINGER WORTHIGNTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, (1/2 mile S. of I-270), where friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Rev.
