Preceded in death by wife, Virginia; Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Jane S. and George Eckelberry, Jr., Jean Ann and James Scott; grandchildren, Lynne Raimondo, John Eckelberry, Steven Black, Julie Wellner, Michael Black; 3 great-grandchildren. Member Covenant Presbyterian Church. Graduate of North Night School and O.S.U. Member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Veteran WW I and WW II. Recipient of the Purple Heart.
