RANDOLPH Agnes Mihelcic Randolph: Born August 17, 1917, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Died Friday, February 11, 2011 at Woodside Village Care Center, Mt. Gilead, Ohio. Preceded in death by parents, husband Charles (Randy) Randolph, sisters Virginia Schwartz and Alberta (Bert) Holtsberry. Survived by sister, Dorothy Hamilton, Mt. Gilead, Ohio whom she resided with; niece, Pamela Holbrook, Worthington, Ohio; and daughter, Jennifer (Greg) Skouby; their children, Matthew and Lillyan, Wickliffe, Ohio; nephews and families, Bob (Heidi) Hamilton, Mt. Gilead, Ohio, Trenton (Sandy) Holtsberry, Independence, Ky, Kristen (Michael) Sytsma, Lauren, Turner and Taylor, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Josh (Susan) Holtsberry, Delaney and J. T., Powell, Ohio, Jerry (Maria) Schwartz, Granada Hills, Ca.; step-children and families, Diane (Bob) Haidl, Tim, Lenny, Jennifer, Colon, MI., David (Barb) Randolph, Steven, Sarah, David and Abigail, Climax, MI.; grandchildren, Julie, Greenville, SC., Jodie and Jamie, Naples, FL.; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, Robbie, Zachary, Amber, Collin, Kate and Jack. When Agnes was six years old, she was severely burned over fifty percent of her body. She spent many of the next years at Children's Hospital (Columbus) and John's Hopkins (Baltimore), where she underwent approximately 34 plastic surgery operations. Through the excellent care she received at the hospitals and the loving care from her family, she developed very well. Her mother, who was her constant companion, tending to her many needs, encouraging her to overcome life's obstacles, and helping her to ease the pain. Agnes learned to cook at an early age. Her specialty was chicken and homemade noodles, plus pecan pie. The holidays won't be the same without her! In her teen years, she started her working years "baby sitting." During the Second World War years she helped make "bombs" at Kilgore Mfg., and when they went out of business, she worked at Worthington Foods, retiring after 22 years of loyal service. Agnes met her husband at Worthington Foods (when Worthington Foods purchased the plant, he worked in Battle Creek, MI.). When he retired, they managed a 23 apartment complex in Worthington. They enjoyed traveling and family get-togethers, and they had 29 years together. Randy died in 1993. Agnes was a life long member of Worthington United Methodist Church. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. She was always the first to help those in need, never complained and was a dear, sweet person. Funeral service 10 a.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011, Rev. Mary Holm officiating, at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, Oh., where friends may call 2-4 p.m. Wednesday. Burial Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Agnes' name to Worthington United Methodist Church and designated for "Outreach Ministries".
