Member of Worthington United Methodist Church, 50 year member of New England Lodge No. 4 F&AM. 50 year member OES. Member of Aladdin Shrine. 35 year member of Northern Kiwanis. Past president Retail Lumber Association of Ohio. Director of National Retail Lumber. Member of Century Club of Boy Scouts of America, past member of Worthington Library Board. Member of Worthington Chamber of Commerce and Worthington's Historical Society. Treasurer of Methodist Children's Home Board. Survived by son, Joe C. Potter, Delaware; daughters, Ellen L. Potter, Wooster, Ohio, Ruth J. Potter, 6329 Linworth Road; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Southwick Funeral Chapel, 3100 N. High Street, Thursday 7-9 p.m., Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where services will be from the memorial chapel 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Dr. W. Edge Dixon officiating. Contributions may be made to Worthington United Methodist Church Building Fund.
