Died Wednesday, February 26, 1997, Norwoth Convalescent Center. Parents, George and Rose (Siders) Schachinger, she was married to the late Ray Poling in Miami County on May 16, 1922. For many years they resided in Miami County and Dayton in Montgomery County. In 1953, they relocated to Crystal River, Fla., where she lived until her husband's death in 1979, when she moved to Worthington. She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Marilyn) Poling, of Worthington; daughter L. Maxine (Marshall) Wright o Kettering, Oh.; son Keith of Homosassa, Fla.; daughter Lorna Marlene King, Columbus, OH.; son Dr. Kirby (Edith) Poling of Colubus, Oh.;15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. In her early years Ruth was a school teacher in Miami County. In Worthington she was a member of the United Methodist Church. Where ever Ruth lived she was always involved with church activities particularly in functions pertaining to missionary work. During her residence in Florida she was very active in the Crystal Reiver Women's Club. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Saturday March 1, 1997 at the Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, Worthington, OH., where friends may call from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday, Burial walnut Grove cemetery.
