Richard Harding Mosher, age 80. Longtime resident of Worthington, Friday, August 10, 1984, Riverside Methodist Hospital. Retired from the F&R Lazarus and Co. Attended Northeastern University, Boston, Mass. Preceded in death by wife, Elena Roberts Mosher (Nell), 1957. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Joan M. and John D. Wood, Worthington, Nancy G. and Paul G. Mally, Waldo; grandsons and daughter-in-law, Steven H. and Joyce Wood, Thomas M. and John M. Wood, Charles P., Scott D., Kevin R. Mally; grant-granddaughter, Samantha Rae Mally; sister-in-law, and niece, Cecelia and Carole Mosher, Belmont, Mass. Member of Lazarus 20-year Club, Communicant of St. John's Episcopal Church, Worthington. Past Master, New England Lodge No. 4, Past High Priest, Horace W. Wright Chapter of Royal Arch Masons No. 226, both of Worthington. Member of Aladdin Temple Shrine, Ancient Scottish Rite-Valley of Columbus. Past president and past chaplain, Worthington Shrine Club. Past vice president and director or the Greater Worthington Sertoma Club where he was designated Sertoman of the Year, 1973-1974 Recipient of Sertoma Int'l (Centurion Award) 1975-76. Regional director on the War Emergency Board of Fur Industry during WWII. Past vice chairman and honorary director on the Fur Council of the Nat'l Retail Merchants Assn. Active for many years in numerous community and charitable affairs. One of the original founders of the Colonial Hills Civic Assn. and later serving as a trustee of the Brookside Civic Assn. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, St. John's Episcopal Church. The Rev. Peter H. Beckwith, Rector. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High Street, Worthington, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday with Masonic Service 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Shrine Burn Center. Pall bearers will be his six grandsons.
