Wanda June Marshall, 100, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, in her room at the Inn at Olentangy Trail, where she had lived for more than 10 years. She was born on June 1,1923, in Morgan County near McConnelsville, Ohio to Frank E and Anna Wickersham Foster (deceased). Wanda graduated from Manchester High School, Reinersville, Ohio, and attended Bliss Business College. On August 3, 1947, she married James Robert (Bob) Coen (deceased).
Together they had three daughters: Linda J (Kim) Mihely of Columbus, Velma A Coen of Delaware, Ohio, and Brenda K Coen (deceased.) In 1967, many years after her husband, Bob’s death, Wanda married Marvin T Marshall who preceded her in death in 1992. A longtime Columbus resident, Wanda was a dedicated homemaker and member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family & friends, watching the cardinals at her bird feeder, and, in her younger days, rooting for the Cincinnati Reds.
In addition to her daughters, Wanda is survived by stepdaughters Penny Marshall, Marsha (Terry) Ternad, and Terri (Allen) Jeffries, grandchildren Ryan (Erica) Mihely, Adam Mihely, Tara Bigler, Randy Bigler (Beth Almon), six great grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren. Following a private service to celebrate Wanda’s life; burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Worthington, Ohio.
