Frederick (Fred) W. Maldeis, age 81, of Westerville died Friday, June 7, 1996 at his home. Veteran US Navy WWII. Served as a Mining Engineer with DuPont. Was an avid sportsman and especially enjoyed hunting. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert B. and Noelita Maldeis of Columbus; daughter and son-in-law, Lissa and Chuck Walker of Westerville; grandchildren, Jennifer Lauren Walker and Jason Burke; sister, Leona Phelps, Knoxville, Tenn.; brother, William Maldeis, Baltimore, MD.; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 1996, Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington (1/2 mile S. of I-270) with inurnment following at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Rev. Dick Eader officiating. Military Honors will be presented at graveside by Leasure-Blackston Post #239, American Legion in Worthington. If they wish, friends may contribute to Hospice Homecare, 341 S. 3rd St., Columbus, Ohio 43206 in his memory.
