Helen D. Mack, age 68, April 27, 1989, at the Hospice Unit of St. Elizabeth Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. Formerly of Columbus, Ohio. Preceded in death by husband Edmund Mack, mother Ruth Hoover, brother Ward E. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Karen and David Byers; grandsons, Christopher and Joseph Byers, all of Dayton; father, Ralph R. Hoover; sister, Mary Brooks, both of Worthington; in-laws, Rose and Virgil Mack, Helen Callan, all of Defiance; numerous nieces and nephews. Graduate of the Office Training School of Columbus, Ohio. Retired from State of Ohio after 32 years of service, 15 years with the BMV and the last 17 years for the Secretary of State Office under Ted W. Brown. Funeral service 1 p.m. Monday, at Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High Street, Worthington, where friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Pastor Jack Drodge officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery.
