John Clark Lowman, age 84, of Worthington, died Tuesday, October 27, 1992, Wesley Glen Health Care Center. Former chemist for Columbus Coated Fabrics. Past associates of the Ohio State University, the Farm Science Review and was a 1930 graduate of Purdue University. Survived by wife, Emily of Worthington; daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Judith) Jones of Sunbury, Ohio and Mrs. Donald (Janet) Fox of Worthington; sons, J. Phillip (Karen) Lowman of Bloomfield Hills, NJ; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Mildred Butterfield of Middleton, Ohio and Ruth Miller Forsythe, Mo.; brothers, Donald Lowman and Eugene Lowman, both of W. Lafayette, Ind. Member of Worthington United Methodist Church, Worthington Historical Society, Olde Worthington Association, Worthington Senior Citizens, associated with Boy Scout Troop No. 365, the Purdue Club, Mulberry Lodge No. 618 F&AM, Sigma Nu and Alpha Zeta fraternities and service on the Board of the Southside Settlement Community Center. Memorial service 11 a.m. Friday, October 30, 1992 at the Worthington United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Chiles officiating. Friends may call at the Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High Street, Worthington, Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Private interment will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Family requests in lieu of flowers, that memorial contributions be made to the Southside Settlement Community Center, 310 E.
