Harry T. Krause, age 76, 2990 Greenvale Dr., Worthington, Saturday at home. He was associated with the Greif Brother Corp. of Delaware, Ohio for 44 years and had served in the capacity of president of the firm from 1956 until his retirement of March 1970. He also maintained as active director of the firm from 1934 until his death. It is the nation's largest bulk packaging industry and a leader in the development of fiber and steel drums, corrugated carbons, multiwall bags and other products with 140 operations in 98 locations. He is survived by his wife, Methyl E. Krause, of Worthington; daughter, Mrs. J. D. (Jane) Hoben of Grosse Point Farms, Michigan; 2 step-sons John Schindler, Cleveland, Ohio and William Schindler, California; 17 grandchildren; brothers, George, Arthur, Edward, and Frank, all of Loraine, Ohio, Walter of Granville; sister, Gertrude Krause, Lorain, O. Member of the St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in Loraine, O. Veteran of WWI. Service 1 p.m. Tuesday, Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High St., Worthington. Rev. Benjamin Edwards officiating. Burial, Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. During the early 1930's his contribution to the Greif Brothers Corp. aided in its survival. His efforts and work in the past two decades contributed immensely to the growth and soundness of the firm. Also to the national efforts during the war years. His likeable ways, good humor was a legend with the Greif Brothers and his many friends and associates. Prior to joining the Greif Brothers he was a staff member of the Ernst and Ernst Certified Public Accountants.
